Hi,

Whenver i start up my laptop, iTunes is always launched automatically, and when i try to quit from the dock it never quits! How do i quit iTunes?

Thanks!

Do you have an iphone / ipod / ipad attached to your mac?

Does :apple:->ForceQuit not work?

Is iTunes checked in :apple:->SystemPreferences->Users&Groups->youraccount->LoginItems? Uncheck it and reboot.

It is not checked, also what is repair disk permissions and rest pram?

Don't know if it'll solve your problems, but here is an informative article about PRAM & SMC reset.

http://thenextweb.com/lifehacks/2010/12/04/how-when-why-to-reset-the-pram-smc-on-your-mac/

As for repair permissions you need to go into "Applications" then "Utility" then launch "Disk Utility". Run verify permissions on your HD. After it completes its verification it will show you what permissions need to be repaired...or not.

And in the end I don't know if that will solve your problems either. Many people use both solutions for all manner of Mac ailments. Good luck!
