Hi all,

On my server I had Windows home server 2011 which I removed to installed Win 8.1 Pro. All working great apart from I cannot connect via my Mac Mini so I can transfer files over.
I used to use Remote Desktop Connection for Mac before and it worked fine but now I cannot seem to connect to it. I have checked the Windows side of things and it should let RD connections. I can connect through Teamviewer but not anything else.

Any ideas?
Cheers

It sounds like an issue on the windows side and not the Mac side.

How are you connecting to the server via RDC. IP address or name?

Are you using the old version which used to come with Microsoft Office for Mac, or the newer version from the App Store?

To that point, I prefer CoRD over MS's RDP app for OSX. Its a much more robust product that works well.

connecting by ip address.

I have tried Microsoft remote desktop from the app store aswell.

There was a drive issue with the server, updated the network card drivers and then turned on WOL settings, works now :)
