Cannot remove a file from my trash

I cant delete a file from my trash. I tried unlocking the folder via Get Info, but I still cant get it out of my bin. Its a backups.backupdb folder. This is the message I get when I try to empty my trash:

Hold down the Shift-Option keys and right click empty trash.

It's a locked file. OSX does this because it thinks locked files are important to the user.
