(I'm sorry if this is the incorrect place to post this. Please let me know if this is the case.)

Hi,

I am trying to delete a .dmg file from my trash can that was downloaded with the app called "Gimp".

Recently, I found that I did not need this app anymore, so I deleted it. The app in question should no longer exist on my computer. However, when I try to empty my trash, it says that the file "could not be deleted because it is still in use".

When I drag it out of my trash, it tells me that the Gimp app is still installed and "cannot be deleted" because it is apparently undeleteable.

I have tried Appzapper, Super Empty Trash, using Terminal, pretty much everything. I'm still unsure as of what to do.

Can anyone here help me out? I would really like to completely empty my trash.

Thanks!
