cannot remove shapeshifter from preference pane

I had shapeshifter for all of about 20 minutes just to mess around with it. So now, i've deleted it, and it has its preference thing stuck on my preference pane.

When i try to right click it and remove it like that, it gives me a message saying an error occured.

When i look in the library folder, it simply isnt there.

Can you still go into the preference pane? It sounds like you're getting the error because it's already gone. Restarting the computer should clear things up.

Did you check BOTH libraries - the global one and the user one?

yep. still nothing in there, and still cant get rid of it. tried reinstalling and uninstalling it too.

PROBLEM SOLVED

discovered a little app called AppZapper (look it up, too lazy to link)

all i had to do was find something remotely related to it, and it obliterized it, complete with screenflash and generic lazerbeam sound. It made the retard in me laugh playfully while clapping my hands.

and voila, the pane was gone.

So it is not located at your Macintosh HD/Library/PreferencePanes?
