If I open Passwords and create a password there manually, and specify the respective website(s), I can remove that website from there later.

But if the password was added in Passwords by selecting the "Save Password" button when signing in:

then it is not possible to remove that URL in Passwords later. On the following screenshot the "minus" button is grayed out. Why?

I don’t think Apple has explained why, but of course the solution is to delete the password from the Passwords app and recreate it with the proper URL.

Actually I think this might be a bug or I simply don't understand how to use the app properly. I have this issue when logging into this one website as well (I mean https://forums.macrumors.com). Do you have this issue when saving passwords in Passwords app when signing in into websites?

Honestly most of my passwords in the app I imported from 1Password a few months ago. I have a few that I have saved.

What I have seen is that once there is a website listed, if you want no web site associated with a password record, or you want to remove the original website item associated with a password record, then, as I said, I think the only answer is to create a new record without an associated URL (or with a different one) and then delete the entire original record.

This is a 1.x app right now - hopefully they will improve functionality going forward.

Also you cannot add another website there (technically, you can, but then the app will delete it, right in front of your eyes) or modify it.

I hope this will happen.

Are you hitting 'Save' after adding the new site? I forget to do this almost every time. I add a site and click 'Done', and think I'm good...but nope, gotta click 'Save' too. Poor UI design, IMO. Otherwise, I haven't been able to replicate this behavior.

As for editable websites, I have some that can be removed and some that cannot. I hardly ever add passwords manually, so I am not sure why there is a difference in behavior. For the ones that I am able to remove, most of them have multiple websites listed (i.e. macrumors.com and forums.macrumors.com). When there are multiple listed, I can remove all of them. Unfortunately, when I add a site in manually, it still doesn't let me remove the original one.

Yes, I can add websites to all of the Password records that I have tried, but you do need to save after adding, both iOS and MacOS.
