I have an early 2008 MacBook Pro and upgraded to Lion about 1 month ago. About 2 or 3 times a week or so since I upgraded, I would try to restart the computer only to have Finder say it cannot quit because some operations are still in progress. I would kill it in Terminal and then be on my way. Now, it happens every single time I try to restart or shutdown.

I have had this computer for just over 3 years now and not once did I ever have this happen on Leopard or Snow Leopard. Can I repair something in Lion to fix this?
