Cannot run FFXI in Wine

It's a full screen vs windowed mode or direct x issue I'd guess. Try using Wineskin instead, it's simpler.
 
Tried Full screen and Windowed and still the same problem

Tried Wineskin and I got the same error while updating FFXI so it's worse.

I'll just install bootcamp i guess ..
