Hello I installed final cut studio 2 to my macbook pro from my friend external hard drive and I have it all saved up in my memory.
Now i m upgrading my macbook pro and would like to save final cut studio to my wd external hard drive so i can install it in my new macbook pro but it will not allow me it tells me there is an unexpected error code 0
Any ideas on what to do??
Thank you very much for your help

I am not aware of any applications written for the Mac OS which can be moved/installed to an external hard drive. The data, projects, raw uncut video, but not the actual application. Chalk it up to another difference between Windows and Mac OS.

Most apps can be. You can just drag them anywhere you want as the .app is a bundled folder and usually contains everything you need (the exception are apps that use installers).

OP, this sounds like you don't own FCP and are leeching off a friend. That's known as piracy, and asking for help around here with it isn't allowed.
