I got my Series 1 Apple Watch today and I love it. I got the original one when it came out a few years ago but ended up returning it. Very happy with this one, except for a couple things:

  1. When I hold down the crown and say "Text xxxxx 'hello'" Siri says, "Ok I'll send it", but instead the message stays on the screen and Siri doesn't send it. If I go to Messages, select a contact and use dictation or a quick reply the message sends as expected without any delay. Why is this?
  2. Adding alarms to the watch is easy, but I can't seem to figure out how to delete them. I found I can have Siri delete them by saying, "Hey Siri, delete my 7:10 alarm" but that's a bit of a hassle and I'd like to do it manually.

I hope I get some help with these little problems. I tried searching for answers both on MacRumors and online and didn't find anything useful. Thanks!

There was always a long delay whenever I tried to send on my Series 0, I just speed it up by saying "hey Siri, send it" to make it go faster. The idea is to give you a chance to make sure it's right but it hangs forever, probably due to the slower processor.

If you go into alarms and then tap the alarm you can scroll to the bottom of the alarm settings to reveal the delete button.

That doesn't work for me. I've tried pressing the crown as other posts have mentioned as well. If I say "hey Siri, send it, she says "uh oh, something's wrong, please try again"

That works! Thank you!

What I have done is just fully cover the screen with my hand and it sends because the screen only has a button to don't send. If you cover, its like dismissing the screen which causes it to send. I have not found any other solution that works as quickly.

I figured out my problem. iMessage was disabled on my iPhone. I don't know why it's a requirement but now either saying, "hey Siri, send it", covering the watch and pressing the crown in all work. Thanks very much!
