Hi,

I have configured my iMessage app, via handover etc, to allow me to start sending&receiving SMS to Androids etc, but whilst it can happily receive texts from a non-iOS device, I cannot send a SMS. I just get the red exclamation...

The interesting thing is the incoming SMS arrives in a green bubble, but when i type a reply, it automatically switches the send mail to a blue one... Don't know if this has an impact...

I'm on iOS 8.1 as well
cheers

Fix: Send a message on phone, select the sent 'blue bubble' and hold for 'more'... select 'send as text message' and it should turn green. You may have to do it twice. Works for me.
