Cannot sign into msn with any application

I have been using Adium for a while with no problems, but all of a sudden I can't sign into msn on my MacBook at all. In the account section in preferences, it just says unable to connect. I have tried going back to messenger mac but as soon as I click sign in, I get an error saying check you are connected to the internet (or something like that). I have tried other IM applications but none of them seem to work.

Does anyone know what is wrong? It's really strange that it used to work fine and suddenly stopped working for no reason!

Nevermind, it was PeerGuardian. I didn't even know it was running in the background!

I run into that sometimes with nothing running in the background :/ msn just forgets my account for a few hours then it comes back.
