Hi,
I cannot sort columns after using Command-F in Finder and getting the results. I click on File Name and get results but cannot sort by name, etc., or change ascending and descending order by the usual method of clicking on the column title bars. Likewise, cannot widen the columns by clicking on the column dividers as one usually can; therefore, cannot see full file names. After several minutes passes, I can eventually sort, widen columns, etc., and the column title bars turn blue, as they should, but there's a several minute wait. Makes no sense.
I am running XP on a Macbook Pro and running OS 10.5.8 on the Mac side. I have to say I dreaded switching to Windows years ago but did so because there was no actually working dictation software for Mac, but I found Windows to be much less quirky in matters like this.
Finally, is there really no way to add a Size column when one searches via Command-F?
Thanks for any help,
Win
