Cannot turn off Javascript in Safari

Try to turn off javascript in safari browser :

Settings - Safari - Javascript - OFF

After some time javascript turn ON again by itself

iOS - 6.0.2

Possibly because it was needed for some sort of web site functionality or even to load a site that you were trying to access. Still, would be nice if things didn't happen on their own at times. Any particular reason for disabling it (on a prolonged/permanent basis it seems)?
