I have a mac book air from 3 years ago. As of yesterday it will not allow me to type the numbers 1 through 9. I am currently using the on screen keyboard to type them.

I searched online for fixes, and none of the following helped and/or are applicable:

- I do not have a num lock or clear key
- I do not have a separate number pad
- 'Mouse keys' is not enabled

Is there any other trick to get typing numbers to work again? The onscreen keyboard does not react when I try to type them on the actual keyboard. Is there a key combination that disables numbers that I could have accidently hit? I do not see anything online about this.
