Cannot unlock iPhone 3G 4.2.1 (BB 05.13.04)

Hey everyone. Sorry if already posted but I've been reading different threads all day but couldn't find anyone with similar problem and a solution for it.

I have an iPhone 3G 4.2.1 and firstly it was updated by mistake via iTunes with official fw, so the baseband was 05.15.04, so I installed 06.15.00 and then downgraded it to 05.13.04, installed ultrasn0w, rebooted several times but it still shows "no service".

I also tried reinstalling ultrasn0w and mobilesubstrate with no effect. Installed them via iFunbox - same thing. Sometimes it shows "searching..." after reboot or taking the sim out and back in but after a while it shows "no service" again.

Really hope someone can help me unlock this thing.

What's the first 5 digits of your serial number?
 
Did you install Ultrasn0w correctly ?
After the install, do not push the re-spring button, instead, turn the phone off, then back on.
The sim needs to be in the phone while doing this.
If the phone does not unlock, try a full reboot or two.

Try reflashing the ipad BB

Also did you eject and reinsert SIM?
 
Yes, I tried ejecting and reinserting the SIM. Also tried reflashing the baseband - no effect.

I tried everything I know, I had some iPhones before and it's not like the first time I'm dealing with it.

There are saved SHSHs for 4.1, I wonder if ultrasn0w would work if I downgrade to 4.1 ...
 
The iPhone 3G doesn't need saved SHSHs to downgrade firmware. And FWIW, the 3G is best with iOS 3.1.3.

Have you tested the SIM you're trying to use in this phone in another, known-to-function phone?
 
Yes, of course, I took the SIM out of a phone I'm using it with. Also tried with another SIM from my friend's phone.

I just tried downgrading to 3.1.3 (with custom made, hactivated ipsw with sn0wbreeze) and ultrasn0w 1.2.8 doesn't work.. again!
