Hey.

Cannot unlock Iphone 3gs 4.0.1 already jailbreaked....Help!

I have jailbreaked with Limera1n. Then I installed Cydia and then I installed Ultrasnow and it is not working.

Baseband: 05.13.04

It was working before on the same phone but before I had jailbreaked using jailbreakme and was using older version of Ultrasnow.

Maybe some problem in new version of Ultrasnow? How to install previous version?
 
I did that but was no help, I also restored alot of times, and still does not unlock. Just says NO SERVICE.
 
I tried 2 different SIMS with different network and still not working.

Is it possible to install older version of Ultrasnow?

In General-About It shows the carrier name, but thats it.

Also got the message that NETWORK UPDATE available for your carrier, even tried that nothing.

Are you sure your baseband is 5.13.04?
 
Yup, I was on 4.0.1 before and I had restored to 4.0.1 using SHSH.

What does the "Modem Firmware" actually say until General-About? Does it actually say "5.13.04"? You might be having some APN problems or something like that, but that would only be with data-type stuff.
 
It says 5.13.04

I never updated the baseband as I knew I would lose my unlock....
 
ultrasn0w works so is your phone, use PwnageTool and update it to 4.1 w/ preserved BB and try it again...
 
I dont have MAC to use that tool, also not sure what you mean by BB, is that same as SHSH?

What are my other options?

can he update it to 4.1 when apple isn't signing that anymore?

You're best is to probably wait for the new ultrasn0w unlock which is due out any time now for the 3G 3GS.
 
waiting does not make sense when the unlock was working before and not now on the same baseband and also ultrasnow is working on my baseband but there is definitely some problem thats causing it to not function correctly
 
Finally got a signal after restore and install ultrasnow more than 5 times.
 
Now only 1 sim has signal the others still say no service. Whenever I put that sim in the phone I get a signal right away....

I guess because those sims have no active account, but atleast I should get a signal right.....?

Well I just tried the SIM in another phone and got no service, so I guess the SIMs are messed up.

Are you serious?
All this time you're trying to get signal with deactivated sim cards and saying that the unlock is not working?:rolleyes:
Inactive sims=No service.
I seen it all now....
 
Oh.....I didnt know that :(

wasted alot of time......glad I tried my active SIM atlast :)

Ah! It never gets old, does it? It like putting a key in a car that you think it's yours. You try everything to get into the car, then you realize, wrong key, wrong car.

I'm lucky I will never have that problem.... only 121 orange Focus' out there :D What are the odds?

But don't worry, it happens to us all one time or another. You quickly start a thread only to find the answer minutes later on your own.... lol.
