I upgraded to Catalina, hated it, then downgraded to Mojave again.

I have a "Security Update" that it wants me to do. After I click on it and restart my computer...I see this error. Which then makes me start up using Macintosh HD.

How do I install the update properly? I feel like my computer is being funky since I downgraded from Catalina.

I have this exact problem. Did you ever find a solution? I've tried tossing preferences files and zapping pram, no luck. and haven't found a real solution anywhere on the web.

I solved the problem by downloading and installing the "Combo" 10.14.6 updater, update proceeded with no issues.

Yes, but afterwards I had no trouble installing the security update from the software update panel.
