cannot view adium chat log?

i just installed leopard and i'm having trouble viewing the chat logs in adium.
when i had os x tiger, a new window pops out so you can view all the chat logs, but now they come out as weird textedit documents with all the html embedding.

i'm wondering if there is something i need in order to view them?

does anyone know how to fix this?
