I have a Canon Digital Video Camcorder MVX4i. I am not able to import movie from the tape on my MacBook Pro. The Mac recognizes the camcorder in card mode. When on tape mode, it gives a message "camera not found".....Can someone please guide me on this....

Thanks for your reply.
The user manual calls for using a USB to transfer the movie from tape to the Mac. There is no IEEE1394 or a DV cable as an accessory with the camcorder.

By IEEE1394, if you mean the DV cable, then i have tried connecting the Camcorder to the Mac using a DV cable. With Dv cable, the Mac does not recognize the camcorder. The signal is still "no camera found".

My Mac is loaded with ILife 09...

please let me know if it is required to buy IEEE1394 to transfer the tape video to the Mac.

Thanks and regards,

Preeti
