Canon GL2 noob help please.

I just bought a canon gl2 off of ebay and have been playing around with the menu and other stuff for a few days. but when i go to menu then cam. set up movie mode, image s. AE shift and 16:9 are purple and cannot be changed? can anybody let me know if its suppose to be like this?
