Hey everyone, so I started shooting in hdv when i first got my hv20 camera. then a few weeks ago i switched my camera to dv shooting mode and changed the capture settings in final cut 7 to dv, and all was well. now, trying to change back to hdv capture mode is proving to be something of a problem somehow. as far as i can remember ive changed all settings back to their originals, and i cant seem to find a setting on the camera that needs to be changed. yes, firewires plugged in, my camera doesnt have a dv lock, and i am in play mode on the camera. any help or ideas would be appreciated, and if anyone has the exact settings that must be applied, they would be great. thanks!

On the HV20...
In playback mode push the "FUNC" button
Use the jog stick to select "Menu"
Use the jog stick to go to "PLAY/OUT SETUP1"
Make sure the "PLAYBACK STD" is set to HDV

On FCP...
Make sure your easy setup is set to:
Format: HD
Use: HDV - 1080i60 Firewire Basic
Rate: (all rates)

This is a good setup for straight cuts HDV. If you are doing titling/transitions you will want to either transcode everything from HDV to prores or set your sequence settings render controls to use the prores codec.

Hope this helps!
