I just wanted to mention that I'd been to Staples recently and found that the company is clearing its supply of Canon i9900 printers since they've been replaced by the Pro 9000.
If you've ever wanted a printer than can do 13x19 inch prints with 8 separate inks for $399 + rebate or a floor model for even less, this is your chance. That makes it cheaper after rebate than the smaller i8500 with the same ink and nozzle hardware.
It will probably be the cheapest you'll ever see a printer with a FireWire interface since the replacement only has USB 2.0.
