I'm trying to connect a Canon i9900 to my G5 using a Linksys PSUS4 USB print server. If I connect the printer via the USB port on the Mac, it recognizes it fine. But I am trying to connect it to a USB network print server, the Linksys PSUS4. The PSUS4 allows you to use Appletalk and IP printing. No matter what I use, the Mac recognizes the print server connection but will not automatically recognize the printer. And if I try to select the printer in the drop down selection box, there are a number of Canon printers but no i9900. Apparently, when the Canon software installs the driver, it doesn't modify the printer selection database to include the i9900. I don't know what needs to be done to get the i9900 to show up in the list of printers. I've asked for help from both Linksys and Canon. All I get is the typical "we don't support Mac (Linksys)" and "we don't support anything but direct connections (Canon)."

I hope I'm saying all this correctly, so that the problem is clear.
