I was wondering if anybody knows why my canon i9900 printer is printing so slow in snow leopard. I have updated the drivers with the latest that apple released.

I just got around to trying to print for the first time with my i9900 under snow leopard. No dice. The brilliant and oh so helpful message from the Canon i9900 printer window tells me the following:

Error Number: 311 Printer is in use or an error has occurred. If an error has occurred, eliminate the cause of the error.

I can reboot onto my old drive and print from Tiger but I don't like having spent $170 for Snow Leopard and not be able to use it. This upgrade is not like Apple and is worthy of Microsoft.

Have you had any luck getting your i9900 to print? I downloaded the driver just an hour ago so I know I have the latest one. I can get a test page to print and I can see ink levels so some level of communication is occurring. I am printing over Firewire as well.

Anyone else stuck or have a solution?

Greg
