I've just bought a canon ip2100 photo printer, and while it works great plugged into my mac via usb, I'm having some problems getting it working over TCP/IP to my router.
My router shares USB printers using HP Jet Direct. The drivers are installed on my mac, and it works fine through USB.
I've added it into the printers part of system preferences, but it only shows up as a generic post script printer, and I don't get any of the special paper sizes, or print quality settings.
I don't have ANY other printer drivers installed except from the brother drivers for my IP laser printer (Which works perfectly over the network using the same method). The canon drivers are installed, but I don't have a canon option when I chose to select the driver.
Does anyone know a work around or something for this? Thanks.
