I had a Canon MF 6550 that I used with my WIN7 machine. Loved the way it would scan documents. Just set them in the tray and let Adobe pull them in.
Well, the 6550 is not Mac compatible, plus I thought I would get a color multi-function and get rid of my old color laser. I was going to get a Brother, but just didn't like the cheap looking document feeder.
Well, it took a few tries and some research, but I finally got Adobe to "pull" a scan from the 8350. But unlike the 6550, you have to tell the 8350 that the remote computer is in control. Not a huge issue since I have to put the docs in the feeder anyway, but the old way was simpler. And I am sure I will forget a time or two.
Just wanted to pass this info on since I could not find anywhere in the Canon literature that it was really spelled out.
