I can't seem to figure out how to check my ink levels on this thang. The only Canon software I can find in my apps directory is MP Navigator EX 1.0

I don't remember what all I installed when I first set it up, but probably the minimum required to get it up and running.

Here is a list of downloads for the MP470 from Canon's site.

Anyone know if one of those includes an ink level monitor?

Or, is there a way to tell through the menu system on the device? I can't seem to find one.

Thanks.

Yeah, this is a confusing one. I love Canon printers, but its own software isn't a big help with monitoring or maintenance. You need to use Printer Setup Utility (from Utilities ƒ).

1. Click the MP470 choice and then
2. click Utility (your printer must be switched on). In the next dialogue window, once again
3. click MP 470, and then
4. click the Maintenance button (which should be showing blue). You need to wait a bit, and then yet another window opens with BJ Printer Utility.
5. Choose Ink Level Information from the clickable list near the top.
