Canon MP500's Bluetooth Unit compatible with Mac OSX?

Hello,

I was wondering whether Canon's Bluetooth Unit (BU-20) is compatible with Mac OSX to print wirelessly. I have a Canon MP500 Multifunction Photo printer with Bluetooth Capability only if I purchase a BU-20 unit sold separately. So, I wanted to know whether its compatible before I purchase it at Amazon.com or any other online retail stores.

Please let me know because I would to use my Canon MP500 that is currently connect with my PC. (I tried printing over my network via wireless, but whenever I start printing, it would say its complete--but really, the printer didn't print anything at all.)

I was able to find my answer from a previous thread (https://forums.macrumors.com/threads/212016/. So, it looks like I can be able to use a generic Bluetooth USB Adapter other than Canon's.
