Hi,

I just bought a Printer Canon MP970.
I bought this one because it was the only multifunction printer from Canon that was usable over an Ethernet network.

I attached a chart of my network.
It's quite basic.
I have a PC an a Mac.
The Mac is connected to internet thanks to a wifi connection (Linksys wireless router).
I bought also a print server from Linksys.

Now the problem:
I cannot see the printer (or the print server) from the Mac.
I tried all the options in the Printer Setup Utility. None of them seems to be working.

Any clue?

Thanks,

Canon drivers for models that have wireless/ethernet built-in can connect via network. Canon drivers for models that only have USB can only do USB. You can look for third-party CUPS drivers here:
http://www.linux-foundation.org/en/OpenPrinting/macosx
http://www.printfab.net
(CUPS drivers can use all the comm protocols included in OS X.)

Ideas for using Linksys print servers:
