Canon MV920 Firewire Incompatibility 800

I have been using an iMac G5 (10.4.1-.11) to edit video using my firewire Canon MV920 camera. Well, that computer stuffed up (I have another thread on that) and so I took it to the apple people and I'm getting a new mac (20" 10.5.x Leopard w/ Firewire 800 port) I looked at the images on the website and the firewire 800 port looks nothing like the firewire ports on both the stuffed up mac or my brother's macbook (the one I've been using since the other one hasn't worked). Will my camera still be able to connect? Am I just imagining things?

If you have a 400 to 800 converter, then yes.

Here is one, though I'm sure it is cheaper elsewhere.
