Greetings!

I recently picked up a couple new Canon MX922s from HSN (No, honest, the price was a steal) and have set them up. I love Canon printers and set up was a breeze. Apple automatically downloaded something for the scanner and printer works fine.

My concern is I see no ways to change DPI for printing, etc.... Can anybody with a Canon printer tell me if it's worth installing the bundled Canon software for photo printing and scanning? I generally try to avoid crap like that if I can, but I'm thinking it may be the only way to get to more advanced settings and to be able to have quicker access to the scan function.

Anybody? Bueller... Bueller.....

I wouldn’t bother if the Mac already has drivers built in. Don’t forget to activate the built in AirPrint to print from your phone or iPad.

The Mac more than likely also uses AirPrint, rather than a regular print driver.

You may not be able to scan though.
