Got a weird problem. I have a Canon N1220U scanner which works fine on my PC but doesn't do anything on my intel imac. When I connect the usb cable to the keyboard port it says there isn't enough power available for the device so move it to another socket. When I move it to a port on the imac itself nothing happens and OSX cannot find it when I search for twain devices.
There is only one connection on the scanner, no power as it comes through usb. I can find some osx plugins on the canon website so it looks like it should work and the apple site says it is supported natively so what is going on?
