I'm on 10.6.3 and cannot get my new MP620 to work.

When you install on the CD it says the OS is unsupported. So I went to the Canon downloads page and have downloaded the two latest versions of the printer driver and network utility.

Install driver - no problem
Install network tool - no problems and restart

Machine restarts and asks if I want to use USB or LAN. Click USB and it says everything is ready to go.

Except the printer appears nowhere. It doesn't appear in System Prefs, even if you click the plus sign to look for it.

I've tried over and over again. All goes fine. Acts as if printer doesn't exist (definitely powered up and connected to the Mac).

Any ideas?

Edit - tried exactly the same on a Tiger machine, just running from the CD and following the instructions. Same result - printer just doesn't appear.
