I have a Canon imageCLASS MF6590 copier/printer/fax. I normally use it to print B&W pages to save the color laser toner.

Has anyone found a workaround to printing with the imageCLASS series in Snow Leopard?

I emailed Canon asking when they would develop a driver compatible with Snow Leopard. The response was anything but helpful. "There are no drivers for it currently. When they are available, it will be posted on the website."

scanning issues with mac

im trying to get the twain to show up in photoshop to scan but have no luck. so this multi function printer is now just a dual function printer (print and copy). any ideas on how to get the printer to scan?

There is a "hidden" plug-in on the Adobe Photoshop installation DVD (DVD #2 "content") called TWAIN.plug-in - it's in Goodies -> Plug-ins -> Import/Export on the DVD. If you put a copy of this file in your Photoshop -> Plug-ins -> Import/Export folder, you should see your printer listed in the File -> Import menu item in Photoshop.

I got this from the following post:
