Canon printers and Ventura: please share your experience

My old Canon MX870 still works with Big Sur 11.7.2. It's actually quite remarkable. Unclear if it will work with Ventura.

Please share your experience with Canon printers while using Ventura.

I appear to have fallen into some luck RE my old/trusty Canon MX-870 AIO. I could not find a Ventura driver, so I crossed my fingers and downloaded the most recent driver I could find at

Canon PIXMA MX870 Driver – Canon Driver Downloads

The driver (for El Cap, I believe) installed, and I was able to link to and print to the printer without any difficulty.

I don't know how scanning will go, but at least I can print!

I have a Canon G 7020 and I just booted up for the first time on my new MacBook Pro with Ventura OS. Went to printers and drivers, and it located my canon printer and it found whatever drivers Apple had in file. No hiccups.
