Gotta question. I'm planning on purchasing a Canon Rebel XTi EOS digital camera. I'm mainly using it at school (I'm a science teacher) for time lapse video. I have tried a friend's camera out for short periods and found that the time lapse software I'm interested in works great. The only question that remains is how long my battery will last, or if that's even an issue.
What I'm mainly interested in doing at school is attaching the camera to a computer and using software to take a picture every 30 seconds for 24-72 hours. The pictures are automatically saved to the computer, so storage space isn't an issue.
Question: when I attach the Canon to the computer via the USB cord, is it drawing power from the computer? If not, is there an AC adapter that can be purchased to keep the camera taking pictures for 72 hours?
Thanks (BTW, nice forum)
