Canon t2i 60p to 24p

I am shooting the 60p mode for an action film but my timeline is all 24p. How would i got about converting that so that i don't lose the extra frames for a slow mo shot?

I want to do that effect where the actor is running down the street then dives over something in slo mo. Follow?

Osx 10.6.3
