Cant access App Store on macbook pro 13 2011

Yeah tittle says it all, i wanted to check out lion but i cant accest the store, it crashes as soon as i open it. I have everything up to date, i dont know whats wrong, the app store used to work the last time i tried it( like 2 weeks ago) anyone experinsing the same problem?
i also tried to access the store from the itunes store but it crashes too.
What can i do???? thanks for any help.
Also this is on my macbook pro 2011 i5 4gb, i didnt know anything to it ( no mods or anything weird)

Did you try software update and repair permissions? Otherwise, perhaps the store is having a problem keeping up. That's all I can think of ATM.

What do you mean repair permissions? whats that? it was working fine before i didnt change any settings or anything
