Over the past three days i've been unable to access my hotmail via safari or the webkit build.
It tries to go to the log in page but then redirects indefinitely..
is anyone else having this issue and are there any known fixes?

my friend is having this problem on his black MacBook. he's still on 10.5.1.

i think the problem might be because he never logs out of Hotmail... he just closes the lid on his computer and then tries to access it later. he gets never-ending redirects until he resets safari or restarts the computer- makes me think it's some sort of bad cookie problem.

Yep, I had the same problem with Macbook Pro OSX 10.4.11, Safari 3.1.1. Got the Hotmail login page OK, entered details, pressed enter then got stuck in a perpetual loop.

It is a dodgy cookie. You can fix it easily by going to your Safari cookies, finding the relevant Hotmail cookie and deleting it.

I have been having the same issue, but I think I may have found a but quicker of a way to fix it, go to http://live.com, click signout (if it says it, normally top right), click sign in, click hotmail

or just dont have it save your password, but using live.com first should fix the glitch really quickly

yeah, only reason I had a hotmail account is cus it was easier to use with msn back when I was a windows guy (ok, that was up until last week, but I am never going back!) its such a mess using hotmail
