Can't access .mp4 videos that are on my iPhone

I've tried searching and found a lot of threads where people can't sync their mp4s with their phone.

I have no problem getting my file on my phone (made with iMovie) and I can even play it off my phone on my Mac through iTunes. But it is not in any of my albums when I look for it directly on my phone.

I've tried it as an .m4a and .mp4. I tried converting it through Handbrake. I exported it from iMovie as a mobile movie and also exported using quicktime. I tried "convert to iPhone" through iTunes.

I can sync all these files no problem, but then can't locate it directly on my phone. What am I doing wrong??

Have you tried looking in the iPod app under the Videos tab?
