Hi,
So my iMac (2.4ghz core2 w/3gb 667sdram) wouldn't start. It kept restarting after staying in the gray apple screen for a few minutes. After several measures were tried, I eventually had to start the machine from the original iOS disks. It is now running fine on 10.5.8, but the external HD containing my time machine backup is inaccessible. When I try to open it, I get the following dialog box
" The folder "----" could not be opened because you do not have sufficient access privileges. "
Opening the info box and trying to change the "sharing & permissions" doesn't work, it simply stays on "custom".
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
