So right at boot (I'm not new to open firmware and boot commands) I hold Command+Option+O+F but it wont go into open firmware.

- Intel iMac 2,0ghz Core Duo w/ Boot Camp

any clue?

I did boot ubuntu from a live cd the other day, could this have screwed things up?

correct me if i'm wrong, but I thought only Power-PC macs have open firmware, and intels use EFI.

You're correct, the new macs won't boot into openfirmware. Might I ask why you want to?

so how do you reset NVRAM or "set-defaults" like Open Firmware back in PPC?

or is that completely unnecessary in Intel Mac's?

.

sorry, i meant "how do you reset NVRAM in Intel Mac's (similar to how we did it on PPC)"...

btw, typing "set-defaults" in Open Firmware (besides "reset-nvram" and "reset-all") works also.
