I can't seem to access the pictures folder, which has turned into a package. My photos aren't there and when I search for them I find them in the Pictures Folder then iPhoto library. But when I try to access them via Finder, I can't even open the pictures folder. It seems my libraries have been switched around, but I don't know how to fix it. Does anyone know?!! Also, when I open Finder, I don't see the regular view, but only the home-folder view (i.e the one that has my name e.g.). How do I get the normal view back? I'm not a mac pro :) so I need some help!

Well, my Pictures folder opens just fine from Spotlight.

Also, when I open Finder, I don't see the regular view, but only the home-folder view (i.e the one that has my name e.g.). How do I get the normal view back?

I'm really not sure what you're saying there. But, from both symptoms, it seems that you have a Finder problem on your hands. One thing to try is to replace the finder's plist file.

You find it here: HD/Users/YourUserName/Library/Preferences
And it's called com.apple.finder.plist
Move that to your Desktop, then Restart the computer.

If that fixes the problems, you can Trash that file on the Desktop.
Your computer makes a new one set to defaults when you Restart.

It will actually recreate it pretty much immediately. Just close the finder window and bring a new one up. However, those settings won't take hold until finder is restarted.
