I don't know how this even happened, but the Guest Account icon in the System Preferences can't be selected!

It doesn't show up in the login window and it has a orange checkmark circle next to the icon in the System Preferences and says "Sharing Only".

How do I disable this ********* little "feature" and get my account back???

Did you click the padlock in the lower left and enter your admin password, to enable changes?

Hmmmm. Maybe repairing permissions would help.

You might also try trashing /Library/Preferences/com.apple.preferences.accounts.plist and restarting.

OK I can't ATM, but I remembered that the orange check-mark means it's logged in!

So it's not appearing on the log in list, but it's logged in still!!

I need to get access to that account without losing the data so I can go home! Otherwise it'll be another week.

So is there a way to log-in via the command line? I need to access data input to a website including a password. Would I even have to log in to get access to this? The only thing saved in Guest/Library/Keychain is login.keychain or something like that and I don't see anything when I open it in Keychain Access in another user.

1. Can I log in via terminal?

2. Do I even need to log in to access the data?

Even weirder! There are processes in Activity Monitor being run by Guest!

That means the files and processes are still in-tact!

Please help! I want to go home! <8\
