Can't add bookmark in Safari

So like the title says, the bookmark menu is greyed out for add bookmark. I've used it on other pages but not on eBay.

What happens when you press the shorcut for Add bookmark (⌘D)?

yeah as a newbie(to Mac) I always ask stupid questions.

It wouldn't work yesterday, but it did today. Lots of problems get solved with a reboot.

Yeah confused on the keyboard, I switched control for command so control c and control V work the same in windows and Mac.

I sense that there are quite a few in this forum who either don't understand the advantages of "starting fresh with a reboot" -- or who simply refuse to do so...
