ive got an iPhone 5s running the current 8.1 update. I still can't add cards to Passbook to use for Apple Pay and I don't have the Passbook choice under Settings

Only thing I think could be a problem is I have a different iCloud account than my iTunes account ID. I have a @icloud account I made but I still use a @gmail for my iTunes purchases. Any help would be appreciated, I'll check back in the morning.

Bummer. Thought it would work only with safari purchases with Touch ID on 5s even though I couldn't use it in store.

iPhone 5s doesn't have the Secure Element chip that stores the token.

The new iPad Air 2 has it, but not NFC - which is why it can do Apple Pay for online transactions but not contactless in-store.

How does that explain that the 5s is supposed to work with the apple watch's apple pay/nfc ability?
