I recently got a MacBook, and I dropped 50gigs of music into it's hard drive (shared folder in users) from a PC over the network, then added the folder to iTunes as per normal. Except now it appears the files are 'locked', and I can't add lyrics to the songs. Oddly the songs that already have lyrics can still have their lyrics field edited..

Any ideas as to how to 'unlock' the files?

Alright, think I found the problem. I can't seem to write to the shared folder. I tried importing songs from a thumbdrive having set my itunes folder to the shared folder and ticking organize and copy to folder on import, and it gave me a message saying check privileges or something like that. Is not being able to write to a folder labelled 'shared' with the only admin account on the computer supposed to be some sort of feature or something?
