I'm having a problem that cropped up after doing a reinstall of Lion (just installed in place, didn't erase and reinstall). I cannot add printers through System Preferences or in the Print dialog box. It sees the printer, but says it's searching for the drivers and then says that they are not available from Apple right now. I downloaded and manually installed the drivers, but it still tries to search and download, and fails to add the printer. If I go into the CUPS web interface (localhost:631), then I can add the printer just fine. While I got it added, I work in multiple locations and often have to add printers temporarily to my list for troubleshooting, and don't want to have to go through that each time. Any suggestions?
