Hey all,

My understanding is I can add Spotify as a the default music service to my HomePod mini. I followed the info provided by Apple to go to the home app and select Spotify as the default service, but Spotify does not show up as an option, only Apple Music. Spotify is set as my default music service for my iPhone. Has this capability been pulled from the HomePod mini OS or via the Spotify app?

If I ask Siri (on the HomePod mini) to "play music on Spotify" she responds "The app hasn't added support for that in Siri."

Any suggestions welcomed. Thanks in advance.

Spotify refuses to support HomePod despite them complaining about Apple not letting third party services on HomePod. Apple finally opened it up a while back and Spotify went silent.

That sucks. I recently found this:

Spotify seems to be dragging their heals on a couple things. I really like Spotify compared to Apple Music, but their lack of lossless options and HomePod support is a borderline dealbreaker.

Currently only iHeartRadio, Pandora, Deezer, and TuneIn offer fully native integration with the homepod. Spotify and Amazon Music have not yet taken advantage of the available API to do so.
